Experience
Played in a number of "garage" bands in school, none of which ever got as far as a live performance, except in various garages. Spent the subsequent 20 years playing to potted plants and annoying the wife and kids.
First public performance at the "Crown" open-mic at the insistence of Mr. Bell in March '08. Played in various formats as J1D1, J2D1, and J2D2 since the summer of '08.
Genres of music
Like most genres of music, with the notable exceptions of rap, R&B, hip-hop and extreme metal.
Particularly like bands from the 60's especially The Kinks and The Who, also like americana especially alt_country and country-rock. Also a fan of prog-rock, particularly Genesis, before they became Phil Collins' backing band.

Kinks, Who, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Counting Crows etc..
